Tools: Articulate Rise, HeyGen, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, ChatGPT
Overview
I created an eLearning module in Articulate Rise based on the First Law of Behavior Change from James Clear’s Atomic Habits. The goal was to translate a long-form text into an engaging, activity-based learning experience with multimedia elements and practical application.
Analyze
I reviewed and distilled a 30-page section of Atomic Habits into core learning objectives and key concepts, focusing on cues and their role in habit formation.
Design
I mapped content into a modular course structure with activities, reflection prompts, and knowledge checks. I designed a custom process graphic in Adobe Illustrator to illustrate the Cue → Craving → Response → Reward model, and storyboarded a short video introduction.
Develop
I built the module in Articulate Rise, created the video using HeyGen, sourced supporting visuals from Envato, and produced a companion PDF workbook in Adobe Acrobat. I also used ChatGPT during the drafting process for ideation and content development, and performed a QA review to refine flow, visuals, and interactions.
Result
The final product is a polished, multimedia-rich eLearning experience that transforms complex theory into practical strategies. Learners leave with clear takeaways, a workbook for continued application, and a strong foundation for the next module in the Atomic Habits series.
